What do parents, administrators, and children think about our program?

Every semester, we send a satisfaction survey and here are your responses. Most of your suggestions are already in place this semester and some are coming soon.  We are always looking for ways to improve our programs.

Your feedback is very important for us.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions etc…

Thank you for your feedback, we couldn’t make it without your support.

Fall of 2010 parent’s feedback:

  • Ryan is learning and I hope someday he will thank us all for this opportunity.
  • The girls loved their lesson yesterday. I am so happy!
  • She has made so much progress and loves learning
  • The girls LOVE doing Spanish with Anamireya!

What do we do well?

  • This last session was great for hands on and flashcards. I really appreciate the weekly emails and updates as well!
  • Make it fun and accessible for the children.
  • Good weekly communication
  • My daughter Christina has really enjoyed her class.
  • I like getting information via email, and I like that we get weekly communications. I just wish they were more personalized.
  • The instructor actively engages all students in the activity.
  • My daughter is enjoying her Spanish class so far (she has only had 2 classes). She requested the 2 hour class vs. the one hour so you must be doing something right!!
  • Recognize need for class to be interactive and fun. Don't make kids sit the whole time. Outdoor break.
  • Keep my kid interested enough so he has wanted to go back every semester.
  • My child always looks happy and like she is having fun when I go to pick her up.
  • Absolutely love the immersion
  • We don't know - we've received one handout that describes what you are doing. I need to come and observe. I'll try to do that next week.
  • Wonderful one on one time and lots of fun and creative ways to learn.
  • The instructor was warm and inspired the children to learn and love Spanish.
  • My child has a good time in class
  • My child seemed to enjoy the academic aspects of the class.
  • WLI is excellent in curriculum & class instruction
  • You help a lot and I appreciate it. Thank you and all your staff members.

What could we do better?

  • Offer it for free? :)
  • More ideas about how we can reinforce what the kids are learning at home. Parent 'cheat sheets?' for those of us who don't remember a lot of our high school Spanish!
  • Wish you could attract some more 4-5th graders!
  • Take the children that are not listening in class out of the classroom. Call their parents to pick them up. Their behavior is taking away from the other's classroom experience.
  • Describe teaching modalities in greater detail.
  • Nothing thus far.
  • Communicate what kids will be able to do/say upon completion of a semester of this class (what is the goal of the course) as well as the objectives that will enable the kids to achieve that goal.
  • Recruit more students - Iliana loves to be there with the other girls but on Friday she is the only student there.
  • More things to do at home
  • More vocabulary instruction and building vocabulary to themes and current events. Such as holiday vocabulary which my child did not learn at all.

If you could change one thing immediately, you would change

  • Incorporate you into my home!
  • Accessibility to make up work if a student has to miss class.
  • Free :)
  • Give my child more responsibility
  • Add review quizzes
  • I would observe the class to understand exactly how it is conducted by the teachers and received by the students.
  • Give some homework even if it 10 minutes.
  • Communicate what kids will be able to do/say upon completion of a semester of this class (what is the goal of the course) as well as the objectives that will enable the kids to achieve that goal.
  • More things to do at home
